The urinary system is a vast filtration system, composed of kidneys whose main function is to filter blood plasma and eliminate waste produced by the functioning of the body, urine is the product. It also helps maintain the body’s homeostasis (internal balance)
The endocrine function is characterized by participation in the production of erythropoietin, a hormone that regulates the formation of red blood cells in the bone marrow and renin, which is involved in regulating blood pressure.

Bladder composed of two parts:
An upper part (bladder dome) which allows it to play the role of reservoir between 2 urinations during the filling phase, and a powerful muscle (detrusor) which by contracting allows the evacuation of urine.
A lower part (bladder neck) which allows urine to be retained thanks to a urethral sphincter
There are many diseases of the urinary system, they can affect one or more organs, ranging from bacterial urinary tract infection or cystitis to renal failure which affects 5% of the world’s population and kidney cancer with 3% of all cancers.
